“From Crime Scene to Court” Date: 6th–7th October 2026 Venue: BHEL Dussehra Maidan, Govindpura, Bhopal Classes: IX to XII Students of Classes IX to XII of Carmel Convent Senior Secondary School, BHEL, Bhopal visited the state-level police exhibition “From Crime Scene to Court – A Live Demonstration of Scientific Evidence, Police Investigation, and Prosecution” held at BHEL Dussehra Maidan, Govindpura, Bhopal, on 6th and 7th October 2026. The five-day exhibition, organised to create awareness about India's new criminal laws and modern policing practices, provided students with an opportunity to understand how technology, scientific investigation and the judicial process work together in ensuring justice. The exhibition featured 14 thematic zones, taking visitors through the complete journey from the reporting of a crime to investigation, collection and analysis of evidence, prosecution and the final court verdict. Students were introduced to the practical application of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) and gained awareness of important provisions related to the criminal justice system. A major attraction for the students was the live demonstration of forensic and technological tools used in modern policing. They observed exhibits and demonstrations related to 3D crime-scene reconstruction, fingerprint analysis, DNA examination, digital forensics and Gunshot Residue (GSR) testing. The students also learned about Dial-112, First Response Vehicles (FRVs), e-FIR, Zero FIR and CCTNS, gaining a better understanding of how technology is helping make policing more responsive and efficient. The exhibition also highlighted the growing importance of cyber safety and digital awareness, making the experience particularly relevant for young students living in an increasingly technology-driven world. The live street plays presented by police personnel, doctors, prosecution officers and local artists added an engaging and practical dimension to the visit. Through realistic situations and performances, students were able to understand various aspects of crime prevention, investigation and justice in an accessible manner. The two-day educational visit proved to be an enriching learning experience for the students. It helped them move beyond textbook knowledge and gain first-hand exposure to *scientific investigation, forensic technology, cyber safety, policing and the functioning of the criminal justice system. The visit also encouraged students to become more responsible and aware citizens who understand the importance of law, justice, digital responsibility and respect for the legal system. The exhibition successfully demonstrated that modern policing is no longer limited to conventional investigation but increasingly relies on science, technology, evidence and timely justice. The visit was therefore a valuable experiential learning opportunity for the students of Classes IX to XII.
