World Water Day Observance - A Unique Experience
On World Water Day an educational visit was organised for the students of Carmel Convent School,BHEL, to Regional Science Centre, Bhopal on 22nd March 2023. Around 450 students of classes IV, V, and IV along with 12 teachers participated in the tour. The visit started with the students exploring the working models in the Science Park explaining the fundamentals of science. They could be seen noting the important points enthusiastically. Next, the children were taken to the auditorium where the basic properties of water were demonstrated with different examples. After the demonstration, the children were asked to write slogans on the topic 'Save Water' and to drop them in a box. A small quiz was conducted in which all the children actively took part and bagged various prizes. The programme in the auditorium ended with a pledge to save water. Next, the children were taken to the Science Gallery where they got a chance to learn the various technologies with fun activities. The fun filled working models helped them learn various scientific principles.The visit turned out to be successful by fulfilling its aim of imparting scientific knowledge in an interesting way to the students, which will remain fresh in their memories for long.
