Report on internal sports day
Carmel Kindergarten organized an energetic and vibrant sports day on January 31, 2024, at its playground, marking a memorable event for its KG I and KG II students. Under the esteemed presence of dignitaries including the school principal, Rev. Sr. Ann Joicy, Sister Shalom (School Provincial Counselor and Bursar) Rev. Sr. Jessy Maria (Kindergarten Headmistress), the day kicked off with a warm welcome and the symbolic cutting of the ribbon. The event witnessed remarkable performances by the KG II students, showcasing perfect synchronization in their marches and an exhilarating welcome dance followed by a thrilling aerobic performance by KGII students. Athletic fervor filled the air as KG I engaged in fun races while KG II competed in various sports events such as hurdle races and obstacle courses. The highlight of the day was the award ceremony where medals and certificates were conferred upon the deserving winners. In her inspiring address, the principal encouraged students to embrace sports as a regular part of their lives for holistic well-being, acknowledging the dedication of both students and staff in making the sports day a grand success. This occasion not only celebrated sports but also highlighted the pivotal role of sports in the holistic development of the students, fostering a sense of camaraderie and instilling values of sportsmanship among them.
