Carmel Convent Sr. Sec. School feels extremely privileged to announce that Mrs. Renuka Waghmare, a distinguished member of our Science faculty and a teacher of Physics has achieved a remarkable milestone in her career. Her outstanding dedication and expertise in STEM education earned her a coveted spot in the prestigious STEM Engagement and Learning programme, organized by the Science Museum Group and funded by GREAT Challenge Fund and supported by Foreign,commonwealth and Development office,UK in London . The programme was sponsored under Great Challenge Fund project of SMG. As one amongst the ten Science teachers from India, Mrs. Renuka Waghmare participated in a week-long program from March 2nd to March 7th, 2025. The project aimed at promoting UK -India bilateral relations by demonstrating the partnership of two significant soft power institutions -the National Council of Science Museums, India and The Science Museum Group,UK. The program included in-depth tours of gallery spaces, meaningful interactions with the museum's Curators, Audience Research and Insights, Academy teams and discussions on Science Capital. She also visited prominent institutions across the UK to explore advanced methods in collection care, management, and audience engagement. Furthermore, Mrs. Renuka shared her expertise and experiences in STEM education, contributing to the Science Museum Group's global engagement strategies. This unique exchange highlights the spirit of international collaboration and recognizes the impact of educators who are shaping the future of STEM education in India. This achievement is a reflection of her hard work and dedication, and a proud moment for Carmel Convent Sr. Sec. School, reinforcing our commitment to excellence in education.
