Heartfelt Farewell
March 28, 2025, was a day of mixed emotions at Carmel Convent Sr. Sec. School, as the institution bid an affectionate farewell to 14 devoted staff members who had dedicated their lives to the noble cause of education. The occasion commenced with a warm and gracious welcome extended to Provincial Superior, Rev. Mother Pavithra, who was accompanied by distinguished members of the Provincial Team Rev. Sr. Soona, former Principals Rev. Sr. Ancila and Rev. Sr Reji. The retiring staff members, Rashmi Mishra, G. Sreedevi, Aleyamma Andrews, Maria Joseph, Blessi Thomas, , Rachna Verma, Simmi Punchhi, Sandhya Tayal, Bela Bajpai, Sheema Sehgal, Preeti Sawhney, Harminder Kaur, Rachna Tomar, and Florincia Toppo were ushered in with heartfelt applause and admiration. A vibrant cultural programme unfolded, blending reverence andF celebration. The event opened with a prayer dance, followed by melodious welcome and songs that resonated with gratitude and nostalgia. A captivating skit performed by the students was a tribute to the impact these educators had on students over years. As the event progressed, heartfelt speeches were delivered by fellow teachers, including Shehnaaz Ma’am, Maithili Ma’am, Jeenie Ma’am, and Depa Alex Ma’am. Each of them fondly reminisced about shared moments, expressing deep admiration for their colleagues’ dedication and the mark they had left on both students and the institution. Mother Pavithra, in her address, lauded the departing staff for their years of selfless service, and the invaluable role they played in nurturing generations of students. Adding to the emotional depth of the ceremony, Rev. Sr. Joicy, the esteemed School Principal, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the retiring teachers, acknowledging their passion for education. On behalf of the outgoing teachers,Sreedevi Ma’am and Blessi Ma’am, took to the stage to express their gratitude. With voices laden with emotion, they conveyed their heartfelt emotions for the school management, colleagues, students, and parents for their constant support and love over the years. The programme culminated with a lively dance performance A vote of thanks was extended, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to making the farewell a memorable event. As Carmel Convent Sr. Sec.
